Karen Frost, founder of Ergobaby, wanted to create the ultimate baby carrier based on a need she had when her son was born. The vision was a carrier that was gentle on the child's back and that at the same time distributed the child's weight on the parents' hips and shoulders, which relieves the back and neck. In 2003, her vision became a reality. Karen chose a production method that followed her values ​​of responsible production where quality, environmental thinking and ergonomics were the stumbling blocks.

Her first original baby carrier was made from 100% cotton. This model consisted of padded hip and shoulder straps with an adjustable sleeping hood. Today it is the same product that is sold to children's shops and retailers all over the world and we are proud to say this because it shows the strength of the design. The success of the Original baby carrier quickly created a growing need for certified organic baby products and as a second model, Karen produced an organic baby carrier with the same fit as the original but with a premium feel in the material.

Today, Ergobaby's range has been expanded to include everything from high-performance fabrics to smaller, flexible travel variants made from recycled materials. Everything that fits into modern parenting with a focus on ergonomic design.
